Stu Savory's Software driven Web-Videomail-Camera

takes a short (14-second) video-mail of you, using the monitor as a camera, and sends it to me. This way I get to see who I'm eMailing to ;-) without you having to put up a webpage or scan in a photo.

Instructions for use:-

Sit up straight in front of the monitor (clothed if you prefer ;-) , with the tip of your nose exactly half a screen-diagonal away from the centre of the screen (fixed-focus!). Turn up the screen brightness and reduce all other lighting in the room. Turn up the sound volume somewhat, because I use your loudspeakers as a microphone. You will have at most fourteen seconds to say your name and pass your message. Sit as still as possible to keep the bandwidth down, please. Speak clearly, do not mumble or cough, turn off the TV & ask any others to keep perfectly quiet.

To start the video-mail, click on the top button. To stop, click on the lower button below.

A click confirms: that the software driven video-camera is running.
